Terms of Use

1. Who can use the platform

Kids Finance Circle is designed for users between 7 and 17 years old. If you are below the age at which your country allows you to independently agree to online terms of service, a parent or legal guardian must create or approve your account and accept these Terms on your behalf.

Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their child's use of the platform and for reviewing these Terms and our Privacy Policy before allowing a child to use it.

To create an account you must check a box confirming that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy, and that you are at least 13 years old or that a parent or legal guardian authorizes your account. You cannot create an account without checking it.

2. What the platform is

Kids Finance Circle presents financial and time-management concepts through story-based "chapters", organized into "seasons", in which the user makes decisions and answers questions and receives feedback based on their choices. Progress can be saved to an account and is shown through stars and accuracy indicators.

3. Educational purpose only — this is not financial advice

All content on Kids Finance Circle is provided for educational and illustrative purposes only. The stories, numbers, and outcomes are simplified simulations designed to teach general concepts, not real financial products, offers, or guarantees.

Nothing on this platform is professional financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and it should not be treated as a substitute for guidance from a qualified professional or a trustworthy official resource. Any real financial decision should be discussed with a parent, guardian, or qualified advisor.

4. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account, either directly or through Google Sign-In.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity that happens under your account.
• Each account is intended for one individual user; please do not share your login with others.
• You may request deletion of your account at any time from your profile page or by contacting us at the email listed on our Privacy Policy page. We reply within 24 to 48 hours and complete the deletion within 7 days.

5. Acceptable use

When using the platform, you agree not to:

• Provide false information when creating an account.
• Attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the platform, its code, or its underlying infrastructure.
• Copy, scrape, or reproduce the platform's content for use outside the platform without permission.
• Submit offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content through the feedback or partnership forms.
• Use the platform for any purpose that could harm another user, especially another minor.

6. Intellectual property

All original content on Kids Finance Circle — including the stories, chapter and season structure, curriculum design, characters, illustrations, brand name, logo, and tagline — was created by Bastian Huamán García.

Some parts of the platform's written content and underlying code were developed with the assistance of AI tools. Using AI as a writing or development tool does not transfer ownership of the resulting content or code to any third party; the underlying ideas, curriculum design, and creative direction remain the property of Bastian Huamán García.

Unless otherwise stated, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any part of the platform's content, branding, or code without prior written permission.

7. Feedback and submissions

If you submit feedback, survey responses, or a partnership request through our forms, you grant us permission to read and use that submission to improve the platform and to respond to you. Submitting feedback does not entitle you to compensation or ownership of any resulting changes. Please do not include confidential or sensitive information in a submission.

8. Third-party services

The platform relies on third-party services — including Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Google (sign-in and forms) — to operate. Your use of these features is also subject to each provider's own terms. We are not responsible for outages or issues caused by these third-party providers.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to an account that violates these Terms, misuses the platform, or poses a risk to other users, including other minors. You (or your parent/guardian) may also delete your account and stop using the platform at any time.

10. No warranty

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will produce any particular educational outcome.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bastian Huamán García and Kids Finance Circle will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, or from any real-world financial decision made based on its educational content.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform grows. If we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection or minors' rights that may apply under the laws of your own country of residence.
